Things you never should do when you are traveling to foreign countries
It doesn’t matter to which country you are going. There will always be something that you should not do, that you might do every single day. Things that are normal for us, but taboo for other countries. These are some of the countries and the things that you should never do when you are traveling with them. Just to make sure that you know what is expected of you.
Ukraine
In Ukraine, you are going to insult a person when you are giving him an even number of flowers. So, giving ten roses, or even twelve roses aren’t allowed. This might be an insult instead of a thank you.
We are used to giving a dozen roses to someone we love. We don’t even think twice about it. But, if you are going to Ukraine, this is the last thing that you should be doing.
Chile
It doesn’t matter if you are eating in a fancy restaurant, in a cheap café or even on the street. You don’t eat anything with your hands. This is rude and not allowed in Chile.
We are so used to eating things like hamburgers, pizza, and hotdogs with our hands. You will laugh when you see someone eating a hotdog with a knife and fork. But, in Chile, this is exactly what you need to do. No eating with your hands is allowed.
Japan
When we are eating in restaurants, we are so used to tipping the waiters. And, that they expect to be tipped. This is mostly because their salaries are the tips from people that they are serving. So, if you don’t tip, they aren’t getting a salary at the end of the month.
However, in Japan, this isn’t the truth. There, you should not tip in any way. Not to someone on the street that assisted you or in the restaurant. They are seeing this as an insult and shouldn’t be done. This is something to remember when you are planning your trip to Japan.
France
France. The one country where you aren’t allowed to talk money. Never. Not even if you are a tourist and wondering what is going on with the finances of France. And, you should also not even consider asking someone for a loan. This isn’t allowed.
People are really strict when it comes to their money. They don’t allow any exceptions. So, don’t think that you will see what financial state the country is in when you are traveling to France.
We are so used to do certain things in our country. Things like talking money, tipping the waiters and eating with our hands. However, in certain countries, these things aren’t allowed. Not only is this information interesting, but this is also something that you need to know about when you are planning a trip overseas.
